Spy Game - Movie Trailer

October 29th, 2008 by thrandur

My favourite spy movie is Spy Game, a movie starring Brad Pitt and Robert Redford.

It is about the relationship between a field agent and his CIA handler which grows throughout the second half of the Cold War: between the Vietnam conflict and the fall of the Berlin Wall. The movie is structured around the progress of the relationship, from when they first meet in Cambodia where the handler uses the then marine sniper to assassinate a Laotian general.

Quantum of Solace - James Bond

October 25th, 2008 by thrandur

For the first time in the history of Bond movies we have a continuing story between two movies. The Quantum of Solace begins minutes after the Casino Royale ends where her majisties spy begins questions mr. White. The interrogation performed by 007 (Daniel Craig) and M (Judi Dench) proves to them that nobody can be trusted.

Bond is driven by Vespers (the woman he loved) and is determined to find the brains behind the evel group led by mr. White. This leads him to Haiti where he finds an unlikely ally in Camille (Olga Kurylenko) a beautiful but highly dangerous woman.

A number of clues lead him to Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric) but when the british government and CIA are working against him, Bond needs to kill or be killed to find out the truth.

The movie is directed by Marc Forster and will premiere on November 7th.

Casino Royale - Freerunning Clip

October 24th, 2008 by thrandur

My all time favorite spy movie is Casino Royale. This movie is directed by Martin Campbell and produced by Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson and stars Daniel Craig as James Bond, a spy just starting out in the British MI6.

In the movie, Bond must assassinate a banker who supplies many of the worlds terrorists with money and supplies.

The only spy “gadget” in the movie that I wish I could have is actually more of a spy skill. This is the ability to participate in the activity of Parkour or “Freerunning”, where the “freerunner” must navigate through areas of difficulty with efficiency and speed. This part of the movie is one of the best scenes in the movie. This scene and the overall believibility and realism of the movie makes it my overall favorite spy movie.

The Bourne Identity

The Bourne Identity

My favorite spy movie of all time is The Bourne Identity. It stars Matt Damon and is based off a best selling novel.

The movie revolves around Matt Damon’s character Jason Bourne who is found floating in the ocean. The entire movie then follows Jason as he tries to remember who, and what, he is. A fishing boat finds him and picks him up and drops him off on shore. As he slowly walks around a seemingly foreign land he runs into people that help him along the way.

At this same time, the United States government seem to be keeping tabs on his movements; from him entering his bank account to every time he gets onto a train.

With one of the most exciting Mini Cooper car chases you’ll find in any movie, this is a movie you cannot miss. It is very interesting to see how a man with the talents of a spy tries to understand why he knows such talents and the lengths he will go to find out who he is, and then the lengths he’ll go to protect those who have helped him on the way.

The movie also has two squeals, “The Bourne Supremacy” and “The Bourne Ultimatum.”

Unlike many spy movies, such at the James Bond series, Jason does not have any high tech gear, or fancy tools to help him out. He simply has anything he can find and he has to frequently adapt to his surroundings making him a sort of James Bond meets McGiver. All in all, this movie is much more interactive than any other spy movie because the viewer has to try and figure out what is happening along with the main character.

The constant threat coming from any direction and the mystery surrounding his like makes Jason Bourne a memorable character in an unforgettable movie.

Cell Phone Spy

October 20th, 2008 by thrandur

The “Cell Phone Spy” is a nifty little device made by BrickHouse Security.

The most important feature is that it can get ALL deleted SMS messages from a phones SIM card.

It is ideal if you are worried that your spouse is cheating or if you are an employer and suspect a leak from your staff member.

As a parent of a teenager you may want to sneak into their messages to know who they are SMSing with or anything else you could find out using this method.

Casino Royale - James Bond

October 20th, 2008 by thrandur

My favourite spy movie is ‘Casino Royale’ (2006) starring Daniel Craig and directed by Martin Campbell. It is the story of James Bond’s first mission; he must stop ‘Le Chiffre’, a banker who finances terrorists. The movie is action packed and is much more realistic than other Bond films.

It does not have nearly as many gadgets as we would expect from a Bond movie, but there is an Aston Martin, a cool looking car that I sure wouldn’t mind having!

I also like that ‘Casino Royale’ makes Bond seem more vulnerable and human; he feels real emotions, even love. Most especially, the movie’s plot is very lucid and easy to follow.

Thunderball - James Bond

October 20th, 2008 by thrandur

As a fan of the spy genre I liked all the early James Bond films. My favorite was Thunderball. I like the older Bond films best as I think that Sean Connery made the best bond. The film was directed by Terrence Young. It also starred Claudine Auger as Domino and Adolfo Celi as the nemesis Largo.
The film follows Commander Bond as he searches for two missing nuclear bombs that SPECTER is holding for a 1oo million pound ransom. Bond follows begins at a health spa and follows the trail to the Bahamas and the one eyed villain Emilio Largo. Meeting up with the CIA agent Felix Leiter and recruiting Largo’s mistress Domino the film leads to a fantastic underwater battle with divers shooting each other with spear guns and battling sharks.

The Mystery begins when the pilot of a weapons plane is killed and a surgically altered look alike is substituted. The pilot we learn later is the brother of the lovely Domino. Bond had been sent to the Spa that this takes place at by M and later will recognize the imposter in a somewhat convenient plot twist. The tropical settings and underwater photography elevate this film above the other early Bond films although I enjoyed them all. I enjoyed the Carnival scenes with the steel drum music complimenting the scantily clad island dancing girls.

James avoids death by traction and by shark in addition to dodging bullets and spears adding to the excitement. Along with the cool diving gear they also introduce the Jet pack to the mix. The film ends with Bond and Domino escaping the crash of Largo’s yacht by jumping into the sea and being rescued by a sky hook equipped United States Navy rescue plane. The jet pack was an effect created using CO2 bottles but the sky hook was real.

Surveillance DVR Cameras

October 16th, 2008 by thrandur

Surveillance DVR’s are differentiated by their number of camera inputs (channels), video recording rate (measured in frames-per-second) and total storage capacity. Other features that distinguish surveillance DVR’s are their remote access capabilities, motion detection features, and video search tools.

Spy-Secret.com has the perfect surveillance DVR cameras for complex security problems. It can monitor and record from up to 8 IP cameras and any number of USB or FireWire . It can monitor and record from multiple cameras simultaneously, create continuous video recordings, and view multiple cameras in a single window.

Remote surveillance DVR cameras are accessed using the internet. Remote internet viewing and monitoring gives you the ability to be two places at once, alleviating the travel time from location to location. Remote management is a natural deterrent against all types of unwanted activities .
